The Department of English was established in the year 1994. The department offers B.A. course. The departmental has a library with rich collection of textbooks, reference books, the books on grammar and communication skills. The departmental library also contains four Oxford Advanced Learner’s dictionaries. The department has organized national seminars on Language and Technology, also the guest lectures and Online Webinars of Alumni for motivating the students. The most of alumni of the department are holding prominent positions in different sectors. The students of department have secured university scholarships, and merit Awards. Some of students were actively participating in the extensive activities, conducted through NSS and Cultural Committees. The faculties of the department are involved in research works, Academic works and also extension activities. The department of English has also conducted a short term certificate course on Corporate English of 30 days, also different competitions and skill developed programmes.
