MEDICINAL, PLANTS & GARDEN

Our college is located in the forest of Deccan track between Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa. The climate of the area is favorable for the growth and development of plants, therefore area shows rich biodiversity. Large number of important medicinal plants have been found growing in this area. To increase the awareness of students and society about medicinal plants our college has developed botanical garden in six gunta of land in 2004. In this botanical garden more than 50 medicinal plants have been cultivated. Each plant is properly names, classified with specific name plates. Along with medicinal plants some ornamental plants, perfume plants and cosmetic plants have also been cultivated. In addition to that some medicinal plants have naturally grown in the college campus.
